One Owner 1990 Suzuki GSX-R 750 with just 2600 Miles!

1990 Suzuki GSX-R 750 for sale

We’ve enjoyed quite a string of original, low mileage bikes as of late and here’s another: A one owner 1990 Suzuki GSX-R 750 and damn it’s sexy! Not only is it all there, it still has it’s factory tool kit, original tires, both keys, and both seats. Personally I’d have to ride it a bit regardless of the miles so I think tires and some fresh fluids are probably in order. Nonetheless, it’s a no reserve auction and you can expect bidding to be brisk with a bike this mint.

2002 MV Agusta F4 Strada for sale in New York

2002 MV Agusta F4 S for sale

One of my favorites of the era, the MV Agusta F4 750 still evokes an emotion that maybe 10 other bikes of the past 25 years share. I realize it’s not that fast compared to it’s competition (or it’s later iterations) of the time, and it came with a hefty price new as well. But it is so striking to my eyes and has such a unique pedigree that I always take note when a nice one appears. As such, when I see one that has a reasonable 10k miles and a disclosed reserve of $7k, it makes me start rearranging the garage to find space. Is the F4 S the bargain exotic that enthusiasts should consider as an entry collector bike?

2002 MV Agusta F4 S for sale on eBay

from the seller:

2002 MV Agusta F4 750, 749CC, I4, 6-Speed. Upgraded with the RG3 race exhaust & EPROM tuned by Ferraci. This bike was originally purchased as a collectors bike with no miles till 2009. Since being ridden it has been maintained with an authorized MV Agustadealer to the highest degree and is immaculate. The F4 engine is a liquid cooled inline 4 cylinder (4-stroke) with DOHC, 16 radial valves, electronic multipoint injection, and induction discharge electronic ignition. The S in the F4 750 S stands for Strada and is essentially the same as the F4 750 Oro but with aluminum pieces in place of magnesium. Top speed is estimated at 170 mph, with a 0-60 mph of 3.1 secs and the quarter mile in 10.98 sec. The MV Agusta F4 750 was the most eagerly awaited slice of Italian superbike exotica pretty much delivered on all counts. Simply stunning Massimo Tamburini styling was the most beautiful since the same designers Ducati 916 of 1994 (and is generally considered to still be the most beautiful bike in production). Spec, build quality and handling was there to match. Only the MV Agusta F4 750’s screaming four-cylinder engine failed to be a world beater still good though. The F4 750 is an instant classic and coveted and collected in equal measure.

1979 Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special available in Puyallup, WA

1979 Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special for sale

Today’s Featured Listing is this RD400 Daytona Special. Reviews in it’s day remarked that this 2 stroke was for hooligans and wheelie addicts. 1979 marked the end of the RD400 and the Daytona Special was Yamaha’s way of celebrating their success at the fabled racetrack.

This is example has only 2039 original miles and is un-restored which adds a nice touch of patina that I find endearing, not to mention it wouldn’t intimidate me to actually ride it rather than purely display.

Thanks for helping support the site with a Featured Listing and good luck with the sale Dave!

from the seller:

I have an un-restored Yamaha RD400F Daytona Special. It has once over Wiesco pistons in it because the previous owner botched its initial Break-In. The original air filter has been replaced with a foam element and the brakes rebuilt due to a long storage period. This bike has always been in my heated shop except for the rides. I have owned this bike since 1994. I have the original sales invoice from place of purchase. Except for a few nicks and scratches, this bike is immaculate. I am asking $6,900.00 for someone to take care of her. Please email me at with any questions. And yes, I have the original mirror.

2004 Ducati 999R FILA in Chilly Michigan

2004 Ducati 999R Fila for sale

When the 999 came out as the replacement for the 916/996, a lot of people found the new styling by Pierre Terblanche (who also did the MH900e) too weird, too avant-garde… but the FILA package for the 999R certainly improved the looks. The FILA edition 999R was produced by Ducati in 2004 to celebrate its 200th win in the World Superbike Championship and was a limited edition production run of 200 special versions of the Ducati 999R in the official 2003 FILA livery.

2004 Ducati 999R for sale on eBay

This particular FILA edition is located in Detroit MI (brrrr!) and the seller seems to have made some upgrades including the full 57mm Termi system and new Michelin pilots. At $13,500 it is within $500 of KBB retail, so the seller seems to be reasonable. Maybe snap it up before springtime comes.

2 Yamaha RZ500’s: A Really Nice One to Ride, Another Still in the Crate!

1985 Yamaha RZ500 for sale

Lets start with the rider first. It’s a 1985 Yamaha RZ500 with a mere 7000 miles and available in Florida. It has some minor modifications and a few minor needs, but bidding has been very steady. It has passed reserve and currently over $11k with about 2 days to go.

1985 Yamaha RZ500 for sale on eBay

from the seller:

Here’s a hard to find clean, low mileage, unmolested beauty with only 11,262+/- kilometers or 6,998 miles. Runs, rides & sounds great. Maintenance & service receipts and records back to 2002 plus original service manual in English with historical jetting notes, etc. on inside cover. Bike is mostly stock but has some tasty upgrades including expensive Jolly Motto pipes, $2,800 engine rebuild with parts from RZ’s Unlimited, front forks rebuilt with new seals, carbs cleaned 06/2012, manual electric cooling fan and new chain & rear sprocket geared 1 step shorter to compensate for tall first gear. Professionally painted in 2012 with all new decals. Pictured plastic fairing edge guards included but need new silicone to stay on properly. Very comfortable ergonomically, handle bar height is the perfect compromise between low sportbike bars & a full upright position. FAULTS – Aftermarket solo seat section & pad recently acquired on e-bay in separate auctions for steep prices. Solo seat section has 1 paint chip and pad is pretty worn but can be recovered by interior auto trim detail shop. (these are VERY hard to come by) Front windscreen fair, blinkers not connected, right mirror has broken swivel but bike comes with 2 other working original mirrors. Comes with petcock rebuild kit. Current one works but on is off, reserve is on. Last, the wheels have been painted red which looks fine just not original. Anyone mechanically inclined (which excludes me) can easily put the finishing touches on this beautiful bike.

1985 Yamaha RZ500 New in the Crate For Sale

Now for dessert. Forwarded from Andy, it’s also a 1985 RZ500 but this one is still brand new and in the crate. It’s in Australia on and there are a lot more pictures of what is inside available there. Could be yours for a little over $30k USD.

from the seller:

Brand new, still crated 1985 RZ500.
Keys, mirrors, bellypan & books boxed untouched since leaving Japan.
Australian model, delivered to a Brisbane Yamaha dealership in 1984

1979 Honda CBX 1000 available in San Francisco Bay Area

Update #2 1.26.2014: Sold in Just 3 Days! Get your bike sold fast with a Featured Listing.

Update 1.26.2014: Updated price now $7000. From the seller:

It has been brought to my attention by a RSFS reader that the bike has had some paint work done on the tank, and the rear tailpiece replaced. I had a CBX “expert” confirm this, and while not apparent when you take a look at the bike, there is a missing sticker on the tank that would have been under the clear coat, and another sticker in its place. With this in mind, I feel I should lower the price on the bike to $7K obo, which is a more accurate reflection of its market value, given the paint.

I also have 16 high-res (4meg) images of all the “patina” on the bike, as well as a video of it running that I can share with interested buyers.

Honda CBX for sale

Today’s Feature Listing is this tasty and mildly upgraded Honda CBX 1000! Designed by Honda engineers to flex a little corporate muscle, this 1047cc, six cylinder, 24-valve air cooled rocket remains one of the most coveted bikes of the 1980s. When it comes to the “naked bike” genre – where the motor is everything – there is nothing like a CBX.

This example has seen 3 owners and just 12k miles since new. Tim’s asking price is a mere $9k $7k and we feel this is a very fair asking price based on previous CBX sales.

Thanks for helping support the site with a Featured Listing and good luck with the sale Tim!

Stunning 1987 Ducati 750 F1-B in Texas

1987 Ducati 750 F1-B for sale

Stunning is one of those moto-journalism catch all keywords isn’t it? But I can’t help it when the the early tri-color SuperSports come up for sale, especially in the condition this one is in. It’s littered with thoughtful upgrades and includes spares to return to stock as well. With what looks like an honest 11k miles bidding has been brisk and already passed the reserve, currently at $18k with 4 days remaining.

1987 Ducati 750 F1 for sale on eBay

from the seller:

You’ll have to look long and hard to find a nicer F1-B than this one. Here’s an extremely clean and low mileage example of one of Ducati’s most beautiful creations. This particular model has the addition of a Verlicchi aluminum swing arm and an Ohlins rear shock. Almost all of the engine and chassis nuts and bolts have been replaced by stainless steel equivalents, most of the zip ties on the bike are wrapped in shrink wrap as to not scuff the paintwork and the bodywork hardware has o-rings under them to keep the bare metal off the paintwork. There’s also an extensive inventory of spare parts and all take off parts are included. It’s not only cosmetically beautiful but the engine has has a complete tune-up, replacing the belts, spark plugs, valves properly adjusted, carbs balanced, brakes bled and new tires. This bike needs nothing except a loving owner. I’ve had the bike for just over 10 years and I think now’s the time to share the enjoyment I’ve had owning it with another interested enthusiast.

21 Questions: 2009 Ducati 1098R Bayliss

Actually, there are fewer questions than 21 when it comes to this model Ducati. I think the major ones to ask are “where?” and “how much?” The rest will pretty much figure itself out.
