1997 Honda RS 125 Survivor… Never ridden!?

This one falls into the rare, never ridden, survivor category. Yes, I believe everyone should have a 12 year old, 0 mileage bike in the garage 😉

123

Brand new and perfect condition. Never ridden. This is a clean, 0 Mile RS125. Model year is 1997. I had it race prepped last year, new tires and a complete prep, but never made it to the track. I have 13 other motorcycles and unfortunately I just never found the time to take the RS to the track.

These things used to kick my butt through the turns and I always felt a personal triumph when I passed one on the straights, which wasn’t too often. I also have a nice memory of the smell of 2-stokes in the morning when they all fired up just as the clock ticked 8:00am in the pits. I still long for the day when one of the big 4 can choke down a 2 stroker to pass emissions, only to let the buying public de-restrict them. You know, the same way they do 4 strokes…. Needless to say, if you’re in the market for a really cool, brand new track tool this might be your ticket. Price is $6,950.00 B.I.N.

1998 Bimota SB6R on ebay

Found this one while I was searching this morning and it should please any of our Bimota fans. This SB6R has been modified quite a bit, but they are all very tasteful and should maintain the integrity of this classic exotica.

Owner comments:

The accessories include large diameter CF sport mufflers, K&N Carb Jet kit, with a high flow fuel pump, Gold Ti coated fork tubes and a 530 chain and sprockets conversion. The carbon fiber frame protectors, CF one piece belly pan, CF inner fairing panels, CF mirrors and CF front cowling really sets this bike apart from any other SB6R.
The contrasting gold top triple clamp adds a touch of color.

The instrumentation is by Stack: 8130sp electronic rally dash. The handle bars have Salamander anti vibe bar ends. The shock reservoir clamp is made from billet stock.
Ignition is by Dynatek 2000, this system includes 3ohm coils and is multi adjustable with variable (1&4) (2&3) spark timing.

Front brakes are by “Braking” wave rotors. The calipers are K.A.D. six piston monoblock. All the pads are new.
The rear rotor is titanium including titanium rotor bolts front and back.
The foot pegs are Vortec.

Suspension: Paoli 46mm RSU forks, fully adjustable. Ohlins rear shock multi adjustable

Engine modifications include a properly installed and tuned Cosworth 1199cc 12.5:1 compression big bore piston kit. Lightly ported cylinder head and degreed stock cams.

If you’re in the market for a Bimota this one might be for you. The owner has listed several contact numbers for anyone interested in more information. I really like all of the Carbon Fibre on this one. Very nice indeed!

2006 Moto Guzzi MAS12s proto-type

I had to obtain special permission to post this one, but I think you will all agree it is RSBFS worthy.

Bike is located in Villasanta, Italy and being offered by a private seller. There’s a laundry list of high-end components on the bike and it looks way cool.

Comments from the owner:

The MAS12 has more than just a Moto Guzzi prototype. It is driven by a powerful water-cooled 1,105 cc four-stroke with 4 valve in titanium, high compression two-segment pistons, twin cam shaft on top. It is also a machine dedicated to all riders who love and understand motorcycling, not an over-tuned mass of technology for a limited few.

I didn’t dare try and re-write the sellers comments; I wanted to leave them for everyone to enjoy.

Is it just me or does it look like you might have a very hot left big toe after a stint on this beast?

MV Agusta F4 “Corse”

The MV F4’s are probably the sexiest bikes on the planet and for me the “Corse” is the pinnacle, not to slight the “CC” because those are quite sexy as well. MV Corse is responsible for designing all of the companies “limited edition” bikes. MV may not have the recent race history of the other Italian company, but they can build them as well as any in my humble opinion.

Comments from the seller:

The bike comes with all the best, top parts from the motorcycle industry, including forged Marchesini wheels, Ohlins steering dampener, rear Sachs shock, Marzocci forks, Brembo front brakes and CRG rear brake and other top parts. This bike is one of the most rare bikes on the road.

Would have been nice to see pictures of the trick parts and overall condition considering the price tag, but the seller does offer his phone # for any interested parties.

1986 Suzuki GSX-R 750 For Sale in Fresno

I know these aren’t exactly rare by production numbers, but it definitely falls into the ‘most of them are gone’ category. Check out this really nice looking 86 GSX-R 750 For Sale on Craigslist for $5900:

Performance mods./New battery/Virtually new Michelin Pilots.
Comes with front and rear stands, battery tender, dust cover,
rain cover, and old (but still funtional) matching helmet.

The price would suggest that it’s very nice indeed. Certainly worth a look if you’ve been waiting, and at that price it should be pretty clean.

Thanks for the tip Chris!

1992 Ducati 900ss Black on White!

I’ll admit it….. I had to ask Dan if this was, in fact, a rare Ducati worth posting. And for all of our Ducati fans who already know about these, Dan’s answer was an astounding “YES!”; of course, he attached the “only if it’s real” disclaimer. But, you can be the judge as to the authenticity of this Ducati.

Quotes from the seller:

This Duck is unmolested less a couple modifications I made when purchased new “yes I purchased this bike new in 1991.” I have been told that today as few as 3 and as many as 13 of the Black on White Café Racers exist. What I do know for certain this is the best example with the lowest miles.

This beauty has a starting bid of $3,000 and a B.I.N price of $8,900. I checked our archives and couldn’t find any “Cafe Racer” 900ss listed. I’m not that familiar with these, but the BIN price is as high as anything we’ve posted in the past. I would love to hear some comments to back up what the seller is stating and that there are only 13 of these in the world? That seems to be far fetched considering they are only asking $8,900. I would have to believe if there were only 13 of any Ducati in the world the price would considerably higher.

1990 Yamaha FZR400 in Medford for $2500

This is a pretty good looking example for only $2500. Oh yeah, it only has 5k miles too! I know there are a handful of Pacific Northwest followers in here, not to mention Doug is an owner, so naturally I had to post right away:

1990 yamaha fzr 400 only 5k miles, with aluminum delta box frame AND swingarm. only imported for 3 years and the 1990 is the only year with a delta box swingarm. very rare and unique bike. rated best ultra lightweight superbike of all time… even by todays standards. $2500.

The black plastics on this one remind me of my old FZR600 from college. Good memories and I’ve always heard the 400 was more than a match for the 600 with the lighter frame. I can practically feel the Citibank cash advance jumping out of my wallet right now!

1985 Yamaha RZ500

Located in San Jose, California is a California titled and registered 1985 Yamaha RZ500. This bike has 7,000 miles and the pictures seem to reflect this in condition. The asking price seems a very fair $8,995. See this RZ on Craigslist here.

Also, if you’re looking for a RZ500 project, see this one in Lincoln, California.  The seller states that he is done with the project and is selling as-is.  The asking price is $7,500; making the above bike seem even a bit better.  See this bike on Craigslist here.
