Straight from BaT
This 1963 Greeves Silverstone is a factory-built road racer that is powered by a 246cc two-stroke single mated to a close-ratio four-speed transmission. It is finished in blue with a white fiberglass half-fairing and a black vinyl bump seat. Equipment includes a leading-link fork, alloy rims, lightened alloy hubs, a front floating drum brake, preload-adjustable shocks, a clear windscreen, an Amal Grand Prix carburetor, a flywheel magneto ignition system, and a flat-sided expansion-chamber exhaust system. The bike was acquired by the seller in 2019, and service since that time included rebuilding the carburetor, flushing the fuel tank, and replacing the tires. This model 24RAS is now offered at no reserve in Arizona for off-road use only with owner’s and maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, spare parts, Silverstone literature, a side stand, and a bill of sale.

What can I say? We love old two strokes and we love no reserve!
This is the first Greeves Silverstone that has graced the pages of RSBFS. After watching the video on BaT, we decided it had to be shared.
The vintage image above is Joe Dunphy in 1963 at Mallory Park, riding a Greeves Silverstone.
If anyone knows anything about these bikes, please share.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
