I know these aren’t exactly rare by production numbers, but it definitely falls into the ‘most of them are gone’ category. Check out this really nice looking 86 GSX-R 750 For Sale on Craigslist for $5900:

The price would suggest that it’s very nice indeed. Certainly worth a look if you’ve been waiting, and at that price it should be pretty clean.

First up is a 1986 Suzuki RG500 GAMMA for sale on Columbus, Ohio Craigslist for $10500 (20k miles):

For you lucky northern residents we have a Canadian market 1989 Yamaha RZ350 located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.  The seller claims that this bike has an unbelievable (it doesn’t look like it in the pictures) 29,000km (16k mi).  Shown in an excellent looking blue and yellow paint scheme, this bike looks showroom new–either it is, or the seller is good with a camera.  There are some evident scratches around the triple-clamp, but for being twenty years old, this bike looks almost perfect.  If I were a Canadian resident I would seriously consider this fine looking example.  See the eBay ad here.

Here’s your chance to get a really rare early sportbike for you, and two for your best friends when they visit! This Craigslist ad has three Suzuki GS1000S bikes for sale at $4900 each, or $13900 as a package:

$4900 doesn’t really seem that bad for such a cool and historic bike. I got up close and personal with a GS1000S at the Barber Motorsports Park Museum earlier this year, and it was a standout for sure!

The Honda VFR750R, frame designation ‘RC30′, was a fully faired racing motorcycle created for homologation purposes for the World Superbike championship by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). It was first released to the Japanese market in 1987. American enthusiasts had to wait until 1990 to get their hands on an RC30. The final one hundred RC30 machines were made for England in 1990.

The title and registration, combined with the the obvious care and thoughtful upgrades, make this bike a standout. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one listed for sale in recent memory. What do you guys think of the $16k asking?

Apparently these aren’t quite as hard to find as I thought! Here are 5 great looking classic GSX-R sportbikes for sale right now on eBay:

1986 Suzkuki GSX-R 750 – This one only has 17k miles and wears the original body work that is in shockingly good condition considering this bike is 22 years old! Has a buy-it-now for $5200.

1990 Suzuki GSXR750 – Nice upgrades on this one include: Later forks, Marchesini rims, Cosworth pistons, Yoshimira exhaust and cams, Keihin carbs, and more. This sucker is loaded and the auction is about to end at just under $3k reserve not met. What a shame, although I’d be secretly thrilled if it were my bike and it hadn’t sold!!

And three more GSX-R 1100 models: an 86, 87, and 89!
