RSBFS viewer, Tom from New Zealand, is letting go of his stunning Honda NSR250se. Tom has done a superior job of accessorizing it with a few choice bits from Tyga (I’m going to give a shameless plug now).

Ever since I’ve become interested in 2 strokes I’ve noticed a lot of strange part manufacturer names along the way. In talking to any 2 stroke guy they are sure to tell you who they “use” for upgraded parts. Tyga seems to rank high on everyone’s list and after a quick view of their website it became very clear as to why this is. I spent countless hours flipping through their pages of parts and offerings. Much to my surprise they even offer a lot of items for 4 strokes. My favorite item is an exhaust they call “The Moto Maggot” It sounds wicked and if by chance Paul or any of the other guys at Tyga read RSBFS and want to let me give the Moto Maggot a test run and review you can contact me through this posting. Oh wait a minute.. that is more of my shameless plug for Tyga, but it looks pretty damned nice on Tom’s bike. Don’t you agree?

If you’ve found your way to this listing you probably already know what you’re looking at. If not, this is a 249cc, 90 degree v-twin two stroke race rep with adjustable suspension, dry clutch, single side swingarm, PGMIV credit card ignition. I have owned this bike since December last year and in that time have put about 9,000 km on the clock. I have done a lot of work to this bike and have de-restricted it using TYGA Performance parts.

- Replaced battery with a gel type (no maintenance)
- New DID gold chain
- Replaced steering stem bearing
- Fitted stainless steel TYGA expansion chambers and silencers
- Fitted TYGA reed blocks and valves
- Fitted an MC21 flywheel
- Fitted TYGA fork caps
- Fitted MC21 exhaust hangers
- Fitted TYGA titanium levers
- Fitted TYGA carbon meter surround and carbon radiator shrouds
- Rebuilt clutch with new fibre plates and heavy duty springs
- Replaced lots of fasteners and rubber bushes
- Fitted TYGA screen
- Lots of spare parts

That is quite a laundry list and as I stated before, the bike looks SICK! I’m guessing this little gem wouldn’t last long at all in the states because at this price he’d be giving it away. Tom was gracious enough to make a few video’s of his NSR so make sure you scroll down and check them out.

So, I’ve become a slacker as of late and to make matters worse I’ve been hoarding a few bikes for myself along the way. Some I hoard in hopes of winning the lottery and others I hoard… well in case a windfall comes my way via a distant relative. NOT!

Anyways, enough of my day dreaming. This RS125 brings the goods and the first thing is it has a title , but perhaps the best thing is this RS125 has set many speed records. I know what you’re thinking in that a 125 can’t be that fast, but when you consider it has a whopping 34hp and has pulled to 100mph I’d say that is pretty impressive. Doug (not me) tells us that he has invested countless hours and an additional $2,500 dollars in his RS125. As everyone knows speed doesn’t come cheap. Cheap speed comes from losing weight, but when you start off with a 280# bike it’s hard… okay, almost impossible to shed any considerable weight. I’d say your losing ounces instead of pounds.

Stumbled across this little diva while trolling CL for RSBFS. I’d say it fills our needs pretty well and the ad says its ‘street legal’ so I assume it has a title of some sort. It’s a little on the pricey side, but for the most part a title is worth 1,500 to 2,000 clams on any given day which would put this one right in the mix.

In the world of 2 strokes you have your milestone bikes, your cool bike, your fast bikes, your 4 cylinder 500′s, your 2 cylinder 250′s, BUT how about a 3 cylinder road going and titled NS400R?

RSBFS reader and all around good guy Terry has his NS400R up for grabs and it looks to be pretty darn nice. I can say that I have first hand experience in buying a bike from Terry as he sold his wonderful 7R to me this past May (Thanks bro!)

Here’s the NS400R:

This is a nice ns400r rothmans. this bike just had a high end re-paint by one of the best shops in Arizona back to stock Rothmans colors. It is a japanese model with 25k kilometers or 15k miles. Runs great, no problems at all. It has a CLEAR New Mexico title. It is not perfect, i am sure it has been dropped at low speed some time in it’s life, but there is no damage from that at this point. It has a new rear tire, chain and sprockets. The front sprocket is one down from stock as it was way overgeared when I got it. The exhaust cans are not stock , I think they are JHL from Japan. The overall chassis could use some touching up of paint to make it show quality, like the fork lowers etc. The front fender has the little fairings that were on the japanese models as well, but I left them off because it looks cooler without them. They are newly painted as well. I left off the mirrors, but I have those too. Feel free to contact me with any questions or offers, I am starting at 5500.00 . I will need to get at least that for it.

And there you have it in the sellers own words. Believe me when I tell you that Terry knows motorcycles very well and is telling you what his NS400R is all about. If you have any questions about it you can jump over to the auction and he has his phone # listed there. I didn’t list here because I didn’t want him to receive 100,000 prank phone calls this month.

Found this beauty on ebay this morning while key wording for rare bikes- did I hit the jackpot! This one is super clean and has been stored for approximately 10 years on stands and it shows! I suspect this one doesn’t have any bids on it because the key words are a little funny. I assure you at a $2,800 starting bid with no reserve, this one will not make it through the day. I’ve been on a 2 stroke kick lately and I’ve seen piles of what is said to be a rare 2 stroke bike and it is merely junk. TZ’s have a long storied racing history and are probably some of the sickest looking race bikes around- sans a MotoGP machine of course.

Looking for a cheap race or track day bike? Then look no further because you have found it!

Up for grabs is yet another NSR 250 and it was submitted to us by it’s proud owner- Rob.

Rob’s NSR is tricked out with some nice TYGA upgrades such as pipes and dashboard. Although, I’m usually not a huge fan of aftermarket paint jobs and add-ons, I’m really starting to warm up to the idea when it comes to 2-strokes. I can only imagine pulling up to the meeting spot for a Sunday ride or a bike night on a 2 stroke; especially in my neck of the woods. And lets not forget the wonderful musical sound of a dry clutch

What makes this bike special is how exotic it it. It has Single-sided swingarm (aka Pro-Arm), Dry Clutch (with carbon fiber cover) and very unique “credit card” programmable ignition switch.

It’s got aftermarket plastic (brand new) with a really good fit, and Tyga Stainless steel GP exhaust. I also added a Tyga Carbon Fiber dashboard, rear set pegs (not reverse shift), new factory clip-ons and lots of other trick bits.

As you can expect from any 14 year old bike there are a few dings and a repair or two to speak of.

Bike has small dent in tank, but I even know where to get a stock painted matching factory replacement tank. This tank is coated inside though, carbs fully cleaned and petcock and air filter replaced.

Be sure and check out the photo showing the superb welding on the TYGA expansion chambers. There could be a picture of these in Websters for the explanation of “Perfect”

Not too much information about this one, but it looks really nice in the CL photos. These seem to be popping up on a regular basis nowadays and I for one am not complaining. Of course it’s for purely selfish reasons like I want one so bad, but don’t have 8g’s lying around to buy one. Anyone want to trade their NSR for my FZR 400?? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller……. I didn’t think so, but you can’t get what you don’t ask for right?

My buddy Joe, who is a good friend of RSBFS, has told me that the JHA pipes on this bike are a rare piece by themselves. He also tells me that although SS expansion chambers may look good the stock mild steel ones perform better. My ignorant response to him? They look good and fast so they must be just that

This is another bike from Ozzie’s mouth-watering collection, and doesn’t disappoint even when compared to it’s gorgeous stablemates!  These 250RS’ are the homologation bikes for the production run TZR250R’s and feature, most importantly, a 6-speed transmission with dry-clutch, adjustable 39mm USD forks with an adjustable shock out back, two brake rotors up front with four-piston calipers, a dry weight of 126kg and a power out put of 45hp.  This bike is the epitome of homologation specials; could you imagine a lightweight Ninja 250 with a dry clutch?  No, because it’s economically unfeasible and there is no way the big-four would do it now!  This bike looks to be in showroom new condition while being finished in the, somewhat, traditional Yamaha red & white color scheme with the yellow number plates.  If you like your ring-ding’s with some rocks in a coffee can, this bike is for you!

1993 RS (dry clutch) and really in even cleaner condition than my KR replica. Has 6000KM (3700miles)

The SE model slots between the lower-end R model and the top rated SP amongst the MC28′s — but lets be clear, it comes with most of the same parts the SP does save the Magtek wheels, special edition race-rep paint jobs, and a handful of other differences. Still comes with completely adjustable front and rear suspension, dry clutch, and class leading performance.
