Cue Gloria Gaynor, because this bike is singing her “I will survive” hit all they way to the bank. Originally the top of the Honda sportbike heap, the CB900 was simply a great all around motorcycle. It had the ergonomics of a standard but with sporty intent. This model was eclipsed one year later when Honda released the mightly CB1100F to great acclaim, but the 900F model continues to be a fantastic bike.
This particular example has only 205 miles on the clock, and is purported to come straight out of a private collection. I might question why this particular model was chosen to be preserved, but I cannot question the preservation job. This thing looks perfect!
From the seller:
1982 Honda CB900 F With only 205 original miles.Yes that’s right 205 miles this bike is a time capsule still has original tires with red stripe Showing on tread. The Bike was bought and put in climate controlled storage by a collector. The bike is probably one of the lowest mile survivor in existence.Bid to own this practicably brand new Honda Cb 900F.I could go on and on about this bike but the miles and pictures speak for them self. The bike has been started and ran and the fluids changed. A collectors dream bid to own.
Bidders are throwing decent dollars at this auction; while the number of bidders is relatively low, the current price on this striking CB900F is up to $5,100 with no reserve in sight. That is pretty decent money for an old Honda, and certainly many times what this bike went for when new! For your chance to check out all of the collector action, click the link and jump over to the auction. Tell me this isn’t the cleanest CB you’ve ever seen!

We owe it to these bikes as these are what Fast Freddie cut his teeth on in his early road racing years . These became the superbikes of the day eventually transforming into the sick bikes of toady that we ride such as CBR1000Rs , etc….
What an incredible find . Good luck to the seller and lucky buyer whoever finally snags it ! 🙂
I had a CB100F and loved it. Too bad nobody builds ANYTHING like these bikes anymore.
Too bad you’re unaware of the 2013 CB1100!
My first real bike was a brand new CB750F that I bought in 1981. I put over 100,000 miles on that bike and still have it (in pieces!). I then got an 1100F but to me it just wasn’t as good as the 750. I bet this 900 would be the perfect balance between the two. This might be the best example of one left.
Thank god this is a seller who has a realistic reserve. Most nuts would have a 8000 reserve.
