Grey Market OEM Parts, Yahoo Auctions Japan Proxy Bidding  And Japanese Aftermarket Parts

I’m branching out from writing for RSBFS into the world of grey bike parts and Yahoo Auction Japan proxy bidding.  A personal contact of mine (Kazuhito)  in Japan has agreed to feed our hunger for grey bike parts so Kaz’s Parts + was created.  Please note we are not part of RSBFS and handle all business separately.  We will offer three types of services that are described below in greater detail.  First, we are able to purchase OEM parts for most any Japanese home market bike; grey bikes to us.  Second, we are offering a proxy bidding service on Yahoo Auctions Japan.  As you may know, it is almost impossible for foreigners to use the auction service directly.  Simply put, my contact in Japan will place bids for you.  Third, we  are offering  the service of ordering aftermarket parts from Japanese companies.

First time buyers please take note, purchasing parts from Japan can be expensive.  Purchasing parts  involves several different fee’s and double hop shipping:  Japanese domestic shipping and shipping overseas.  Shipping can also be pricey from Japan.  Airmail and sea/ground shipping are available (Airmail can take as little as 5 days and sea/ground can take up to two months).  Sometimes item size and weight will dictate the shipping option.  Shipping will take place once a week.  All orders shipped will be insured, no exceptions.  All payments will be made through Paypal.  Now, if I haven’t scared you off read on below for the specifics or each service.  You can contact us at kazsparts@yahoo.com.

GREY MARKET OEM PARTS

Currently we will require you to provide part numbers.  We will then get a price quote and we will contact you with that quote.  If you wish to purchase we will require payment up front for the order.  Once the order has arrived in Japan we will send you a second quote on international shipping.  Once shipping is paid for the item will be shipped.  We are working on finding a central website that provides microfiche parts manuals.  In the meantime I have posted and linked to a smattering of different parts manuals. A great site for  NSR250 part numbers is  NSR-World.com.  Here is a  site for TZR and TZ  part numbers.   A good site for some Honda and Yamaha grey market parts manuals.   A GSXR400R (GK76A) manual. A RGV250SP (VJ23) manual.

YAHOO AUCTION JAPAN PROXY BIDDING

If you aren’t familiar with Yahoo Auctions Japan  it is an absolutley great resource for finding unique and  hard to find parts.  I personally used it to track down the entire race kit for a VJ23.  You will find everything from the mundane to the exotic on Yahoo Auctions Japan.  Now having said that, it also requires patience and the willingness to bid high.  I say bid high because you will only have the ability to place one bid on the item for the duration of the auction.  You will also need  Google Translation to give you a an idea what you are looking at.  Begin by searching for your model/company (for example: RGV250, VJ23, HRC, etc).  Once you have some results copy and paste the links into Google Translation to get the translation.  If you would like to bid, send us the link along with a maximum bid price in dollars.  We will then have you fund your bidding through Paypal.  If you do not win, you can request your money returned (minus Paypal fees) or simply leave it if you plan to bid again.  If you do win, we will contact you with shipping costs.

*Heavy items such as engines and frames will be priced on a case by case basis.

PURCHASING AFTERMAKET PARTS IN JAPAN

Probably the simplest of the options.  Simply, if  you find an item you would like to purchase from a company (for example: Sugaya, Battle Factory) in Japan that does not have an English website, we can place the order for you.  Simply send us an email with the item you would like to order.  We will get a quote on the item and contact you with that quote.  Once payment is received we will order the item and contact you when it arrives.  We will then quote international shipping to you.  Once payment is received your item will be shipped.  There may be the possibility of direct shipping depending on the company.

RETURNS

I can not stress enough researching your parts and auction items before bidding or purchasing.  Returns on auction items is not possible as stated in most auctions.  Returns on OEM parts or aftermarket parts are most likely not possible depending on each individual company purchased from.  We will gladly look into the possibility in every case but the possibility of a return would likely be very low.  Every shipped item will be insured though to protect against loss or damage during shipping.
