Black on White 1995 Ducati 900SS

The factory black and white Ducati 900SS is a very rare combination and highly sought after because it's a dead sexy combination hardly ever seen in the wild. Unfortunately it seems only the 1992 model received that treatment from what I can research. Nonetheless, it looks very well looked after and worth a look for $4300. It's in Everett, Washington on Craigslist:

quote from seller's Craigslist posting:

1995 Ducati 900 SS/SP in very good conditio with 10961 miles. Within the last 1500 miles it has had new tires, chain and sprockets, belts, tune up, carb cleaning, clutch cylinder rebuild, and oil and filter change. The only thing that might need attention is the rear brake that squeals at low speeds.
I've desided I need a bike with a more upright riding position, so I'm putting this one up for sale.

2000 Ducati 748R For Sale in New Hampshire

Ducati SuperBikes are obviously a weak spot for me and this beautiful 748R would satisfy that fix with ease! Check out this lovely example

2000 Ducati 748R For Sale2000 Ducati 748R For Sale2000 Ducati 748R For Sale2000 Ducati 748R For Sale

quote from seller's eBay listing:

748 R with stock motor and exhaust and currently has 6,392 miles. Upgrades include Samco silicone hoses, Speedymoto billet water pump housing, CRG billet adjustable levers, billet fork adjusters and billet breather. Carbon fiber front mudguard, rear mudguard, key guard, tank protector, swingarm and chain guard. Evoluzione license plate bracket with light cleans up the back end while keeping it legal. The bulky stock plastic license plate bracket is not pictured but is included. A Powerlet accessory socket specifically made for the 916/96/98/748 is installed allows a battery charger to be plugged in or to power heated clothing (using a BMW-style plug). When the bike is not used it is always on a charger and it is very clean and well kept both cosmetically and mechanically.

Belts replaced and 6K service completed earlier this year (I have all the service records). Purchased new in 2006 and it has never been crashed or raced and runs very well. All service done at authorized retailers in NH (Seacoast Sport Cycle and BCM Motorsports). This is a rare bike with not many left especially in this condition and I have documentation to prove the validity of the bike (copy of the original MSO).

You can get the Cliff-Notes on this special 748 variant on the Wikipedia page, or get all the details via this excerpt on Google Books from Ducati Desmoquattro Superbikes by Ian Falloon.

1993 Ducati 900SS SuperLight #661

Located in Miami, Florida is a 1993 Ducati 900SS SuperLight with 13,591 miles.  This is a two owner bike with new tires, timing belts, battery and fitted with Marvic wheels.  Bike was sitting for some time and looks like it could use some clean up to become quite nice.  Seller states it has some minor scratches and cracks to the bodywork.

Two Rare Ducati Superbikes For Sale: 916SPS and 996R

Motorcycle classified shopping is so good the second half of the season! Folks have got their last rides in, or realized that another summer has passed without riding again, and all of the sudden the market it flooded with sweet rides. I think there's actually more on the market now than there is in the spring!

For instance, check out this beautiful 916SPS for sale with only 4500 miles!

Ducati 916SPS For SaleDucati 916SPS For Sale

quote from seller's eBay listing:

An original example, never raced , never down. The 916 introduced in 1994 had an engine that was derived from the 851 which began life in 1987. The increased displacement and resulting horsepower gains over the ensuing years made the original engine cases fragile. In 1997 Ducati introduced a new engine with stronger cases. The AMA considered this a new motorcycle and required that twenty-five machines be sold for it to be homologated. This motorcycle is one of the twenty-five that were brought into the country for homologation, and is one of the ten that Ferracchi sold. The motorcycle was delivered with both a street legal exhaust system and a Termignoni system with the corresponding e-prom . The motorcycle comes with complete records including the Dynamometer run that Ferracci did prior to delivery. Included are the original wheels and tires, which have only been run on the Dynamometer. Marchesni magnesium wheels are on the motorcycle now. All original parts are included as well as an extra set of body panels.

Need something even more special? How about a Ducati 996R for sale with only 1 mile!

quote from seller's eBay listing:

Rare 996R, the real deal, for the discriminating Ducati collector. Beautiful and historic this is one of the finest examples on the iconic superbike know to exist in the world.

A must have collection piece for the true Ducatisi or motorcycle museum curator.

This is a unique opportunity. Never ridden, never raced, no road use. A perfect example of Ducati’s legendary 996R Superbike. This bike is a critical step in the bloodline of Ducati’s racing leadership.

A real 2001 996 R, no headlights, no taillight, and faded factory shipping stickers remain on the twin headlight infills on the gorgeous carbon fiber fairing. Ducati 996R in full clear coated carbon fiber emerge from the red paint showing the world the fairings’ composition. Two frame labels denote that this machine is for racing use only.

he bike is truly beautiful. It is part of the lineage of the most iconic sport bikes ever designed. Its’ monoposto tail section with painted number plate, gold pinstriping, and grillwork are spectacular. Front and rear Ohlins suspension and an Ohlins steering dampener overtly display the quality components built into this bike. This 2001 996R has spent its life in an artistic collector’s home on a track stand. It is as close to factory original condition as is possible.

The 916SPS is a bit more of a standout to me as it has tons of trick and exclusive parts, but doesn't do away with the headlights, indicators, etc... But as a piece of art in the house on the winning lotto day, well then that 996R would certainly fit the bill!

1992 Ducati Superbike 851 For Sale in Virginia

I do love me some 851 goodness, and this one looks really good! With under 10k miles on this 17 year old superbike, it looks to be in phenomenal condition! Take a look here on eBay where the starting bid is $5000:

quote from the seller's listing:

Very rare 1992 ducati 851. This bike has alot of upgrades including lots of carbon fiber, Marchisini wheels, floating brake rotors and much more. This bike is mint and part of a collection, it was always kept indoors and always maintened properly. Look at the pics and you will see that a bike like this does not come for sale very often. This is a no reserve sale and a 7 day auction so someone will get this beautiful bike at a great price. If you know Ducati you know how great this bikes are and know the upgrades made by the factory for this 2nd generation of 851.

This bike excites me for a few reasons. For starters it has very tasteful modifications and the condition looks really good. It's also part of a collection as the pictures tell the real story. Check out all the other Duc's in the background. And I do believe that's a late model Testarossa in the same garage.

I think it's getting close to time to sell my 750SS and upgrade. These 851 and 888's that have been coming up are really making me consider it!

2006 Ducati 999 F06 Ex. Gregorio Lavilla

Located in Oslo, Norway is a one of eight (as the seller states) Ducati 999 F06 factory British Superbike race bike.  This bike was originally involved in the 2006 British Superbike Championship and was Gregorio Lavilla's number one bike.  The seller doesn't list which races this bike was ridden in, but, Gregorio won several races finishing 3rd in the championship.  The seller is the second owner--after the factory--and is asking somewhere around $90,000.  The bike comes with a good sized spares package including an extra engine.  If you're in the market for a modern race bike, this might be the one for you--otherwise enjoy the photos.  See the forum post on Ducati.ms here.
