Would you like to ride the same bike as your hero?

Located in Northern California are three AMA superbikes.  See description below:

3 Yoshimura Suzuki AMA superbikes

Please be aware that two of the three have all of the data logging, traction control, and race instrument clusters removed. This drops the price considerably. Due to the current AMA roadracing rules, Yoshimura Suzuki bought these bikes from a dealership before converting them to race bikes. So they have proper VIN, registration, and titles! So in essence, one could convert these 200+ HP Superbikes into streetbikes if they wanted.

The last bike listed is Mat Mladin's race bike, as is, with all the insane factory race bits still on the bike. As a matter of fact, the tires are still the same ones still on this bike as last raced.

Due to the new homologation rules of the AMA Superbike series, Yoshimura Suzuki started out the 2009 season using 2008 bikes. So though these are '08 models, they were only built back at the beginning of this year, just in time to start the 2009 race season. This is the real deal. Factory spec full on superbikes.

What would could be cooler than showing up to Alice's on a Desmo?  Mat Mladin's bike would have to be right up there.

1996 RGV250 Gamma VJ23

Available in Northern California is a 1996 RGV250 in what looks to be amazing condition. The ad as posted by the seller:

I am sad to say that I am forced to sell my 96 RGV250. I have spent the last 3 1/2 years building the bike.

This is a extremely rare 1996 RGV250 VJ23. There were only 2218 bikes made between Feb 96 and Sept 96. The bike has a unique 70 degree motor based on the Suzuki GP bikes. There are maybe 15 to 20 of these bikes in the USA.

Here is a list of the modifications I have done:

- Ohlins radial front forks with the Brembo radial calipers
- Galfer wave rotors
- Yoshmura billet triple clamps w/modification to fit stock ignition lock
- Penske triple clicker rear shock
- Marchesini magnesium 10 spoke wheels f/3.5" and r/5.5"
- New Michelin Pilot Power 2ct tires
- Custom rear caliper bracket with brembo caliper
- Sugaya race pipes (Not the Lomas as seen in the pictures below)
- Sugaya R2 cdi
- Has oil injection (not premix)
- Ca titled with new registration(November) for the next year
- Recent complete rebuild

I want $15,000 firm for the bike. No tire kickers please...and no test rides until there is cash in hand.

Sorry no trades of anykind.
Feel free to contact me with any questions...

** The pictures below show the bike with Jim Lomas pipes....the bike currently has Sugaya race pipes and thats whats being sold**

The asking price is $15,000 and is titled and registered in California.  See the ad on Bay Area Riders Forum here.

1991 Honda NSR250R MC21

Located in San Diego, California is an untitled 1991 Honda NSR250.  This bike needs a battery and new rings for the rear cylinder (safe to say a whole new top end).  This bike needs work and isn't titled but it is priced fairly at $2,800.  If you have mechanical and great people skills, this could be the bike for you.  See the bike on Craigslist here.

1999 Aprilia RS 250 almost new!

Aprilia RS 250 on the Los Angeles CL  Bike is located in Long Beach, CA

This non street version has been sitting, but it should be in great shape considering it has less than 300 miles...  Hmmm lets do some 4th grade math; 300/10 = 30 miles per year average,  that's insane!  If I owned this thing, it would have had a couple Mag Lights duct taped to it and I'd be ripping through the canyons doing my part to put the mosquito population in decline.  The owner has it listed at $3869.00 (sort of an odd number) which seems pretty darn fair considering it's brand new and still has the spares kit.

Aprilia RS250 1999, good condition, not street legal, less than 300 miles, comes with front and rear wheel stands and spares kit. This bike has been sitting in my garage for 8 years help me clean out the garage so my wife stops complaining.

Someone help Rob get his wife in line and get this out of his garage and into yours.

1996 Aprilia RS 250 Chesterfield Replica

Yes, another RS 250 up for grabs.  This one was spotted and sent to us by John, a daily RSBFS reader.  A big THANKS to John for the hook up on this one because it is nice!

This beauty has 12,000km or 7,456 miles on the clock and looks amazing in the photo's.  So if you have a little Max Biaggi in you and feel like a racer boy, this could be yours.  The owner says it is stock other than changing out the dashboard to read in MPH.  He also mentions some carbon fibre bits, but nothing that should detract from the bike.  It still shines and looks fast even while sitting still.

Comments from the owner:

It is a beautiful example of an intentionally unmolested RS250, I wanted to keep this bike as stock as you see it from the showroom, since I am more of a collector. The bike has some tasteful carbon: both fenders, and even some trick items like the frame guards, radiator bracket, fluid reservoir bracket, and lower fairing mounts.

The owner would like to see $7,000 out of it.  It's a good looking RS located in somewhere in Cali.  So if you or anyone you know is in the market here is your chance for a factory street version.

1989 VFR 400R NC30 for sale $4,000!

Update:  This bike is now on ebay  as of 10.30.09

This may very well be the shortest post I've ever had because I can't get any info on this bike.  I've tried contacting the seller, but didn't get a response.  It is still posted on the WERA BBS Bikes for Sale as of 10.24.09, so I assume it is still up for grabs.

This was originally posted for sale at $6,000, but never sold.  From what I can tell it has been listed for about a year and the seller is now giving it away for $4,000, which I think is an absolute steal.  It is listed as a grey market import so it probably doesn't have a title.  The owner says it is flawless and is a living room Queen.  He goes on to state that it is against his will to have it for sale, but has no choice.  So take that for what's worth.  This bike looks to be in perfect condition.  I love the smaller bikes and this one has me smiling ear to ear.
