Please, no stupid questions, or anyone other than a serious buyer who is a serious motorcyclist. If you do not know what this is, or how to ride it, I cannot sell it to you.

Pictures attached are the real deal.

$16,000.00 No offers, please.

This bike looks incredible, but the only problem is the asking price. It's $16k! It does have very low miles and a title, but this is an outrageous premium considering the market and other examples of the Lucky Strike replica's that we've posted on this blog.

1993 Ducati Superbike 888 SPO: Just In Time For Christmas

That make 4 Ducati 888's listed on this blog for sale this year! If you've been waiting, this looks like another good one.

1993 Ducati Superbike 888 SPO on eBayMotors for $8300:

quote from seller's eBayMotors listing:

Hello & Good day! Up for auction is my 1993 Ducati 888 SPO. There were reportedly only 300 sent to the USA and I've got one of them! She is in great condition with many upgrades. She has been meticulously maintained and looked after. Got her in 2000 with 8k+ and I've put only 3.5k+ miles since then. Oil & filter changed regularly. She had just gotten a timing belt change, injector synch, brand new Michelin Pilot Powers front and rear and new battery all done within the past 500 miles. Amenities speaking, she has an upgraded Brembo GP radial Front Master Cylinder, Blue Kevlar Front and Rear Brake lines, new EBC Black front and rear brake pads, Corbin Solo Seat, Carbon Fiber Front and Rear Fenders, Fast by Ferracci Carbon Fiber Exhaust, Tinted Windscreen and Vented Clutch Cover. There are no mechanical issues to report. She will be a turn the key and run type of bike. I need to state that there is a minute dime-sized ding on the right side of the tank; it is really unnoticeable from the pictures. I also took the liberty of lining the extreme bottom of the left and right side fairings with Hercules Truck Bed Liner; I really got annoyed at how much pebbles and road debris tore up the bottom side red paint.

The only other Ducati's of this vintage and price range that I would consider would be a 748, or a Superlight. And even in that company, I think the 888 is the bike of choice.

1998 Bimota SB6R For Sale on eBay

Not necessarily the most beautiful bike with it's disproportionate shapes, it's definitely a conversation piece. Italian construction with a very strong Japanese motor. Have a look at this Bimota SB6R for sale on eBay:

quote from seller's eBay auction:

Offering serial # 007 Bimota SB6R from private collection with only 984 miles. This is the fierce Suzuki GSX-R 1100 powered model that was built in limited numbers as all Bimota models were and will continue to be a highly collectible bike. With the smooth lines only the Italians can produce and bullit proof Suzuki power, this is a beautiful & reliable masterpiece. This # 007 SB6R has a set of Moto Corse slip ons and steel braided brake lines which are the two most sought after aftermarket accessories. The bike has been on display in our museum with fuel which has resulted in plugged pilot jets which we did not address so the reserve is set very low for you to take advantage of. I rode this bike a few weeks ago, the brakes and handling are amazing and the power is unbelieveable, it just stumbles on low jet throttle position. Clean the carbs and enjoy the bargain on this rare piece of history or just do as we did and have it on display!

For a buyer with some skills or connections to a good technician, this could be a steal. Current bid is around $7k. What do you think it's worth once it's running properly?

1995 Aprilia RS250 Chesterfied Replica

If I drink enough beer tonight, I may convince myself to buy this. When I became interested in sportbikes years ago, this was one of the ones. One of the ones that you tell yourself in high school that you'll buy someday when you have a real job as you serve fast food through a drive through window. Of course at that time, I still had hope Aprilia would wise up and bring the bike to the states. By the time they did, it was as a race only model.

I happened onto this one on eBayMotors. It's a 1995 Aprilia RS250 for sale in Portland, Oregon:

quote from seller's eBayMotors listing:

This is a titled, registered and fully street legal 95' Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield Replica. We have owned it for several years now and have had lots of fun with it. Its a great bike to ride handles like a proper race bike should.

Our friend imported it from Europe about 8 years ago and registered it in New York but didn't ride it enough to keep it. We shipped it out here to Portland Oregon and have enjoyed riding and playing with it ever sense.

The engine was completely rebuilt in 2006 (less than 800 miles ago) from the crank up using all OEM parts. All the cables have all been replaced as they have worn out and and its carbs and injection system have been tuned and synchronized . The bike is still using the original oil injection system which of coarse works perfectly. Arrow pipes have been polished and nickel plated. This bike has a only a couple of small expected cosmetic faults but its still in great shape and always starts on the first kick!

Oh man... I'm very tempted to get myself the best xmas present ever and buy this before the auction ends in a few hours. It's even titled and street legal. It's only a couple hours away and I've taken all of next week off... But I probably won't though, so I'm posting it here in case someone else can snag it.

2001 Ducati MH900e Mike Hailwood Evoluzione

I've been keeping an eye on Ducati Sport Classics recently when I spotted this rare beauty on eBayMotors; A 2001 Ducati MH900e Mike Hailwood Evoluzione:

quote from seller's eBayMotors listing:

This bike is clearly a special, unique and very limited edition bike. Only 2000 made and released online thru Ducati's website on Midnight of the New Year 2000.

I have all service records for this bike, including original manuals and the memorable numbered plaque. I also have the Red race stand it came with including the original crate face, which the number of the bike is printed 319 / 2000. The bike just got a complete full service at PRO ITALIA on 12/2/08. It has new tires, and the Stainless Staintune exhaust. I also have the red Ducati Cover, that has kept it covered and in great shape. The original exhaust is also available.

The bike has never been dropped or abused. The bike is turn key and ready for the road or for a collector. I have put ZERO miles on it since it was completely serviced at PRO ITALIA. Current Mileage = 3955

The MH900e was built as a tribute by then Ducati design chief Pierre Terblanche to commemorate the inspiration he attributed to Mike Hailwood winning the 1978 Tourist Trophy race. There were only 2000 of these bikes built, and only 500 made it to the U.S.

The seller has it listed with a $13.9k buy-it-now shown. Having covered only a few thousand miles, this looks like a great buy considering brand new Sport Classics go for about this much!

Up for sale is a Japanese spec MC18 NSR 250.

Chassis: MC18-111
Bike: NSR 250-3 2stroke
Color: black/silver
Mileage: 4,276km ~ 2,500 miles (ACTUAL)

Bike runs excellent and is a great track bike. Handles like a dream. This mc18 has been known as one of the best in the entire NSR lineup (better than mc21 and mc28). Bike is not registered and is being sold for off-road use purposes. Please see pics.

With no title, this great little bike will be attractive to collectors and track day enthusiasts. As a track day bike, do you pick something like this or a new Aprilia RS125? I sat on the latter this past weekend at the Seattle International Motorcycle Show, it's amazing how beautiful it is in person...
