2001 Moto Guzzi Rosso Mandello V11: 1 OF 300
No matter what you think of Moto Guzzi, you have to admit it would sound cool to tell someone you own a Rosso Mandello V11. Sounds a lot more exotic than a CBR600 doesn’t it? Now I know this bike doesn’t fit everyone’s definition of sport bike but with the growing popularity of naked bikes I think it is more relevant now than it was back in 2001. I’m a fan of anything you don’t see everyday and I think these fit the bill.
The Rosso limited edition was apparently differentiated by the paint color and a carbon fiber cafe screen and front fender. I can’t claim to have ever ridden one but while looking up info on this bike I came across a really nice review of it. It looks like the original MSRP’s on these bikes was close to $14,000. This bike has just under 11,000 miles on it. Hmmmm, a limited edition bike, original price of $14,000, low miles and a buy it now price of $6,500. I would think that would draw a little interest.

Here are the auction details:

I think you could sum this bike up by saying this is a bike that appeals to those who just like something a little different. .
Here is a walk around of one with some different mufflers. Moto Guzzi’s sure have a unique sound.
