Another find from a reader request is this possibly still for sale Suzuki GSXR400. Here is the posting from the gsxr400.com forum:
Sadly I am buying a new house and need some cash to cover closing cost. I thought I’d give the people on the forum a chance to buy the bike before it goes on e-bay.
It is a 1991 GSXR 400 GK76A with a complete front end off of a 2004 Kawi 636. It has a new front tire, new computer, and a rebuilt starter. The motor was rebuilt not too long ago (and I have receipts to show). Red paint in great condition. The only draw backs are a bent shifter, which still works great, from a driveway drop after letting my cousin borrow it. Also the neutral switch likely needs to be replaced or bypassed…it used to start up intermittantly (hence all the new electrical) and I tracked it down to the neutral switch (by process of elimination). After a while I discovered when it would’nt start I would just wiggle the shifter and it’d start right up. Since the front end swap my mechanic rerouted the clutch cable and it now hasn’t given me any issue, but I’ve only taken it out a handful of times since then so wanted to mention it. Anyways it is a great bike, very solid, and it comes with tons of spares and the entire original front end. Let me know if you are interested and I’ll send you pix via email. I can be reached at (email removed). I have over $6,000 U.S. into this bike and I’m asking $4,000.
Cheers,
Andrew
